Estimated study time: 7 minutes
Learning objective: Plan small, repeatable weekly actions that produce consistent progress.
| Weekly habit | Suggested time | Output |
|---|---|---|
| Capture evidence ideas | 10 minutes | Evidence log updated. |
| Draft or annotate one item | 30–45 minutes | One evidence section improved. |
| Check references | 10 minutes | Sources saved and formatted. |
| Prepare one trainer question | 5 minutes | Specific question ready. |
| End-of-week review | 10 minutes | Next priority selected. |
Short, regular progress is usually more effective than occasional long writing sessions. Use protected CPD time with a defined output. Instead of writing “work on portfolio”, choose an action such as annotate one result, read one SOP, write the learning section of a reflection or map one standard.
Attendance at a course or meeting is not automatically strong CPD evidence. Record what you learned, how it relates to practice and what action followed.
Learner activity
Schedule one 45-minute portfolio session and define a single output that can be completed within it.
Key points
- Small weekly actions reduce last-minute pressure.
- Give every CPD session a specific output.
- Record application of learning, not attendance alone.
