- Read the module descriptor and evidence instructions.
- List the Standards of Proficiency assigned to the module.
- Identify which standards the mandatory evidence is designed to cover.
- Select candidate-choice evidence for the remaining standards.
- Annotate the exact sections that demonstrate each standard.
- Write a concise justification and ask the trainer to review the mapping.
Mapping is stronger when the evidence contains clear signposts. For example, page labels, highlighted excerpts, arrows and numbered annotations can direct the reviewer to a specific decision, result, graph, policy statement or reflection paragraph. Do not expect the verifier to infer the link from a large unlabelled document.
A standard is not met merely because its number appears in the justification. The evidence and explanation must demonstrate the requirement.
